Who doesn’t dream of full order books? Especially during times in which the economic recovery is by no means a matter of course everywhere. An automotive supplier in Portugal was faced with a logistics challenge, thanks to an unexpected additional order peak: shortly before the normal planned 2-week plant closure the last of the reserves had dwindled and spare part components from Poland were urgently required, in order to meet the order deadline before summer break. Flash Europe was able to remedy the situation: with a charter chain - seven flights with different aircrafts - within 4 days (Thursday to Sunday). The size of the pallets varied from 120x80x50 cm to 150x120x110 cm. Thanks to the Flash Europe offices in Portugal and Poland, not only the flight but also the pick-up and delivery occurred smoothly and within the shortest possible amount of time. Of course the Air Charter Department was – as always – the one pulling the strings: the person responsible for the project constantly confers with all of those involved and informs the customer about the status of the shipment.
Altogether 9 tons of spare parts were delivered to the Portuguese plant.
